Engenharia semiótica e arte digital interativa: Um estudo da autoexpressão do artista-designer

Mouchette

Mouchette
The designer introduces himself in the system as Mouchette, a girl who is almost 13 years old, who lives in Amsterdam (and elsewhere) and is an artist. It also reveals that the Mouchette’s creation was inspired by the story of the book of  the same name, by the author Georges Bernanos. However, the narrative of Mouchette, the site, moves away from the book’s narrative, as far as that allows the interference of users and from the moment
in which Mouchette begins to question herself and her attitudes. The designer wants to make the user reflect. For this, he created the character mentioned above, because his story addresses suicide, death, violence and sex (all controversial issues). The fact for these user responses to become part of the site when they are sent reinforces the idea that the designer wants you to think. The narrative is completely personal and the designer is talking with the user all the time, in some parts of the site he tries make the user feel guilty. However, it is perceived that the reactions are diverse, ranging from bad jokes even people offering and seeking help.
