Poster recreated

For the exhibition REBOOT a poster was recreated, identical to the old one but re-written for Rotterdam and the Reboot exhibition at the Nieuwe Instituut.

In 1997 the poster was distributed throughout the city, in cafés and other places announcing cultural events but also in the streets, and I went there and photographed it. The photos are very small but this was digital photography at that time, and this is just how big they could be.

Unfortunately the new poster for Rotterdam couldn’t be distributed in the places for cultural announcements. Why was it rejected? Apparently Mouchette is still ‘persona non grata’ in some places, but I would really like to know the details. What’s wrong with her?
